Why Regular Oil Changes Matter in Chicago
Chicago's climate creates severe driving conditions
Harsh Winters
Sub-zero temperatures cause oil to thicken. Cold starts stress your engine before oil fully circulates.
Short Winter Trips
Short trips in cold weather keep the engine from fully warming up, which is harder on engine oil.
Stop-and-Go Traffic
Stop-and-go traffic on I-90/94 and Lake Shore Drive is harder on engine oil than steady highway driving.
